Hey.Café directly is neutral on the subject of AI
4 weeks ago by Anthony Lee.
Hey.Café is __ not __ going to be against or block AI content unless it breaks the [content rules](https://help.hey.cafe/policies-rules), but we also don't and won't use it on the site ourselves as staff in it's development. Social media should be, and we want it to be a place where you can post about the things == you like ==, and that's why we have the concept of cafés, so users can share with groups who share the same ideas. This also lets users block cafés that they don't want to interact with. We will == NOT == do the following: * Block content for being AI. * Use AI in the development of the service. * Modify feeds based on AI content. We check the most basic level for the tags some AI providers put in media, but we do not use any external or third party tools for this, and we do want users to tag items if they know they used AI to make the media. I understand the idea that some might think this is a stance targeting AI and it's not. We want to give users information, that is all. We will __ not __ use the AI tag on media to change when and where items are loaded, and if it shows up in feeds. --- == Your main Conversations feed will always be the people you follow and cafés you join in order of when posted. We will not modify it or change it based on any lists or based on any filters. This feed is what makes us different. ==
